Alternative Health Plan Package Solutions for Individuals and Families

In most cases we can design a comprehensive alternative health plan package with much lower out of pocket costs on most services for 20-40% LESS than high deductible, narrow network ACA/Obamacare plans. 

If you are relatively healthy and don’t qualify for a tax credit subsidy to help pay for an ACA/Obamacare plan, or if you just want to design a better plan for yourself than the “one size fits all” ACA/Obamacare plans, let us help you.

Fixed Benefit Plans:

In California we work with the following company to provide the highest coverage Fixed Benefit plans available. We combine these Fixed Benefit plans with supplemental health plans (see US Supplemental Coverage) to create a comprehensive, alternative health plan package to meet each client’s specific needs and budget.

Short Term Medical Plans:

The state of California has outlawed the use of Short Term Medical plans of any duration. As a result we do not have the ability to offer these plans at this time.

ACA/Obamacare Plans for Individuals and Families

In California ACA/Obamacare plans are available through the Covered California state exchange. Insurance companies offering plans vary by county. We work with the following insurance companies in this state:

Alternative Level Funded Small Group Plans

In California the state regulations regarding level funded health plans make it extremely difficult to offer these plans to small businesses with less than 50 employees. As a result we do not have the ability to offer these plans at this time. 

ACA/Obamacare Small Group Plans

For small businesses with fewer than 50 employees that don’t qualify for a level funded health plan (above) for any reason, we can help with an ACA/Obamacare small group health plan.

California Choice is the only multi-carrier Small Group Private Exchange in California. They offer eight of California’s leading health plans, including multiple HMO, EPO, PPO and HSA-compatible plans.
Anthem Blue Cross of CA has been serving the health care needs of Californians since 1937. Together with its branded affiliates, Blue Cross of CA provides health care services to more than 6.8 million members. They have a rating of “A” (Excellent) from the A.M Best Company, an independent insurance rating organization.
Blue Shield of CA is the state’s third largest health plan, with 3.3 million members and $7.5 billion in annual revenue. Founded in 1939 and headquartered in San Francisco, Blue Shield is a not-for-profit corporation with approximately 4,500 employees and more than 20 offices throughout California.
Kaiser Permanente – is a leading health insurance company serving more than 9.5 million customers nationally. They offer a strong commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, and partner with various organizations in the community to encourage healthy eating. Kaiser also has an Environmental Stewardship Program, which works to eliminate environmental factors that can cause disease. Kaiser offers individual and family plans, as well as Medicare plans.
Molina Healthcare – For over 30 years, Molina Healthcare continues to provide quality and affordable health insurance plans to individuals, families and businesses. It is a FORTUNE 500 multi-state health care organization that provides NCQA-accredited care and services designed to promote and improve the health and well-being of their members
Western Health Advantage – has a four star rating, the highest it can receive, by Covered California. They offer individual and family health insurance plans on California’s state exchange.
